Avani intends to become an internationally recognized center for Excellence in Design, providing a platform to explore new horizons in education, collaborative research, and creative thinking.
Avani Institute of Design invites applications for Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, and Professors in Architecture, Design, and related fields to teach courses of one or more of the following specialty domains:
- Architecture Foundation Studios
- Architectural Design and Building Technology
- Architectural Design and the Humanities
- Heritage Conservation
- Landscape Architecture
- Product Design
- Interior Architecture
Interested applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for the teaching positions as per the Council of Architecture (CoA) norms. Additionally, and desirably, applicants should demonstrate:
Experience with and orientation to building critical design disclosure either through creative projects or academic practice in one or more of the above-listed specialty domains;
Understanding of the needs and challenges of the current architectural education;
Openness in adapting to and developing socially relevant pedagogies;
and
Willingness to learn from and with all members of the academic institution.
